Released in 2012, Arab Spring by the American indie band Literature was issued in a limited edition of just 100 pink vinyl copies. The cover was inspired by Andy Warhol's celebrated Flowers series, one of the most recognizable motifs of his career.
Rather than directly reproducing Warhol's artwork, the band asked a friend to create a new interpretation based on the original image. The result closely echoes Warhol's composition while introducing subtle changes in colour and tone. The record demonstrates how Warhol's visual language continues to inspire new generations of musicians and designers decades after its creation.
