The cover features a sketch of a pianist with an orchestra behind him. Unlike many of Warhol's earlier record covers, this design uses colour as a storytelling device: yellow is associated with the piano and Rhapsody in Blue, while blue is reserved for the orchestra and Grand Canyon Suite. As one of Warhol's lesser-known record covers, it remains a particularly rare and distinctive example of his early commercial work.
Side A features George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, performed by acclaimed American pianist Byron Janis and accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Hugo Winterhalter. Side B contains Ferde Grofé's Grand Canyon Suite, performed by Winterhalter and his orchestra.
